CHALLENGE

As one of London’s most innovative office specialists, renowned for its design-led philosophy and creative management approach to development, Derwent’s Annual Report needed to be more than a conventional investor publication. We have been working with the Derwent team for six years, and our challenge is always to create a distinctive report that reflects the company’s unique positioning and reputation. This year, we also needed to help demonstrate more clearly how Derwent is delivering on its five point strategy to create value.

AUDIENCE

The primary audience for the Report is institutional investors. However, a new focus on employees is designed to appeal to potential job applicants, as well as recognising Derwent’s existing talent.

INSIGHT

In modern architecture, it is often said that form should follow function. Our insight was that in the design of Derwent’s new Annual Report the two should work seamlessly together.

OUTPUTS

This Annual Report places greater emphasis on Derwent’s five point strategy, and provides better linkage to KPIs and Risk, while remaining true to the spirit of the company. The result is a beautifully designed, visually impactful annual report which has as much depth of content as it does aesthetic appeal.

OUTCOMES

We delivered an annual report that has successfully amplified Derwent’s design-led philosophy as well as reinforcing their status as the largest real estate investment trust in central London.
