Multinational generic pharmaceutical company, Hikma, have announced the rollout of their new brand. The corporate website, designed and built by MerchantCantos, is the first external articulation of their new positioning and visual identity.

Using their global brand platform “Better health, within reach, every day” and supporting visual identity, we created a digital design language that evolved from the minimalist design, engaging patient-focused photography and extensive iconography. This was developed into a fully digital design system and applied across all online channels, internally and externally by Hikma and their roster of agencies.

The website was built using a flexible, component driven system that can be easily repurposed for the creation of new Hikma sites, all managed within the same CMS. Hikma’s content editors can use the drag and drop component builder to edit and create new pages without the need for developer capabilities.

To support the brand roll-out, MerchantCantos also developed an intranet designed to deliver precise and relevant content wherever their 8,500 employees are located around the world.  Furthermore, we produced four short lifestyle films, each focused on one of their brand essentials. Collectively they bring the brand platform and new visual identity to life in a compelling and emotive way, illustrating Hikma’s positive impact in putting better health within reach.
