Aviva wins Best Annual Report at CorpComms Awards

We are delighted to say that our client Aviva has won Best Annual Report award at this year’s CorpComms bash. This follows on from winning the IR Society award for Best FTSE 100 Annual Report and the Corporate & Financial Award for Best FTSE 100 Annual Report last year.

There is little better in agency life than working with an ambitious client that wants to push the boundaries of communications. Our award-winning relationship with Aviva on its annual reporting is just that.

Aviva’s brand promise is to put its 33 mn customers at the heart of everything it does. Adopting a magazine-style, the report is built around this maxim: telling Aviva’s story through real customer case studies across double-page spreads. And there’s as much substance as there is style, with clear metrics, accessible articulation of strategy and in-depth Q&As with business unit heads.

The judges were impressed by the level of research Aviva had undertaken before undertaking this report. ‘It is a very clear annual report with demonstrably good links to company values and measurable outcomes,’ they said. Downloads of the corporate responsibility elements, for example, have more than doubled. ‘It was easy to read and very visual.’ [1]

Alongside Aviva’s win, our client BBC Worldwide was also recognised with a Highly Commended in the Best Annual Report in the Not-for-profit category.
