Phil joined Merchant Cantos after selling his own award-winning agency, Ireland Davenport to WPP, where he produced long-term creative campaigns for clients including BMW, Vodafone, Apple, AB InBev and Coca-Cola.
Prior to this he worked at TBWA, Ogilvy and BBDO in South Africa and Leo Burnett in Singapore.
The Gunn Report named Phil as one of the top 10 creatives in the world, and he was voted Most Admired agency leader by the Financial Mail.
